topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

  • 450 g lean ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 3 crushed cloves of garlic
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 can (480 g) of tomato sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 3 tbsp. barbecue sauce

Preparation:

  1. Place a saucepan or cauldron over medium heat, add oil, garlic, and onion. Season with salt and pepper and sauté for 3-5 minutes until the onion is soft and fragrant. Add the tomato paste and mix well. Add the ground beef and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes, stirring frequently to break up any lumps.
  2. Add chili powder and cumin and stir to distribute the spices evenly. Stir in the tomato sauce and broth, and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the barbecue sauce and cook for another 10 minutes. Serve hot.
