Caramel Apple Pie topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 200 g frozen puff pastry, defrosted in the refrigerator
- 2 sour apples
- 65 gr. brown sugar
- 40 ml of 10% cream
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 200°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a floured surface, roll the dough into a 24-cm square, about 0.5 cm thick, trimming the edges if necessary to make them more even. Place the dough on the prepared baking sheet, prick with a fork, and chill while you prepare the apples.
- Peel the apples and use a peeler to remove the cores, leaving the apples whole. Use a grater or hand to thinly slice the apples into rounds.
- Arrange the apple slices in three layers on top of the dough, sprinkle with brown sugar, and carefully drizzle with cream. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the dough and apples are golden brown.
- Serve the pie warm or at room temperature, and top it with a scoop of ice cream.
