- Hamburger Taco Pizza:
225 gr. grated cheddar cheese
- 450 g of fried ground beef
- Chopped romaine lettuce
- Diced tomatoes
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 190°C.
Prepare the pizza bases: Place the buns cut-side up on a large baking sheet. Spread each half with marinara sauce (or pesto, for example, for a tomato and basil pizza), then top with mozzarella. Add your choice of toppings. For the suggested pizzas, see the instructions below.
Once the pizzas are assembled, place the baking sheet on the bottom rack of the oven for 8-10 minutes. Then increase the temperature to 425°F (220°C) and place the baking sheet on the top rack until the cheese begins to bubble and brown. Remove from the oven and serve immediately! Cut the pizzas in half down the middle so everyone can have a small pizza on a French baguette.
- For the Canadian Bacon and Pineapple Pizza: Top with slices of Canadian bacon and pineapple and bake as above.
For Greek Salad Pizza: Skip the sauce, but brush the buns with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Top with mozzarella and bake as above.
While the pizza is baking, in a medium bowl, combine the olives, feta, tomatoes, cucumbers, parsley, the remaining 3 tablespoons of olive oil, and salt and pepper to taste. Top the finished pizza with the Greek salad.
- For the pepperoni and jalapeño pizza: Top with pepperoni and jalapeño slices and bake as above.
For the tomato and basil pizza: Substitute pesto sauce for marinara sauce. Spread the sauce on each bun and top with tomato slices. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Bake as directed. Top the finished pizza with basil leaves.
- For the Hamburger Pizza: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper and fry until the meat is no longer pink. Place the browned beef on the buns and bake as above.
For pizzas "Hamburger-Taco": Top with cheddar cheese and ground beef and bake as directed above. Top the finished pizza with romaine lettuce and tomatoes.
