Ingredients:
Pickled tomatoes
- 2 thinly sliced oxheart tomatoes
- 1 tbsp. l. olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
- 0.5 tsp coarse salt
- A pinch of chili flakes
- 1 clove of garlic, grated
- 1 sprig fresh thyme, leaves only
Grilled onions
- 1 sweet onion, cut into 0.3 cm thick pieces.
- Olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Hot dogs
- 6 beef sausages
- 6 potato hot dog buns
- 110 g diced Gorgonzola cheese
- 1 head frisee salad, remove dark leaves, separate light leaves and wash under cold water
- Olive oil for dressing
- Sea salt
Preparation:
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- To prepare tomatoes: Place the tomatoes in a large, flat bowl. Mix together the oil, vinegar, salt, chili flakes, garlic, and thyme leaves. Pour the mixture over the tomatoes and let them marinate for 1-2 hours.
- To grill onions: Lightly brush the onions with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper. Grill until browned, 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the grill and set aside.
- To prepare hot dogs: Grill the sausages for 3-5 minutes and the hot dog buns for 1-2 minutes until crispy.
- Assemble the hot dogs: Place tomatoes on one side of the bun and onions on the other. Place a sausage in each bun. Divide cheese and frisee salad equally among each. hot dog and season with olive oil and sea salt.
