Creole Crab Burger

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced ​​red onion
  • 450 g of lump crab meat
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Preparation:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, green onions, and Worcestershire sauce, season with salt and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the burgers until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.
  3. Combine 1 cup shredded cabbage, 1/4 cup each thinly sliced ​​red onion and chopped parsley, 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, and 1 tablespoon each Creole mustard, lemon juice, and honey; season with cayenne pepper and salt to taste. Serve the patties on buns with Creole coleslaw.
