French toast donuts

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup full-fat milk
  • 4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 slices small white loaf of bread or 2 slices large white loaf (large ones cut in half)
  • 30 g butter plus a drop of refined oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Preparation:

  1. In a wide, shallow bowl, whisk the eggs with the milk and vanilla extract. Soak the bread halves in the egg mixture for 5 minutes on each side.
  2. Heat butter and refined oil in a frying pan, fry the bread soaked in egg until golden brown and well-fried on both sides.

    Sprinkle sugar on a plate, then roll the finished bread in it to make it look like sugar-coated donuts.
