Bacon with maple syrup topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 1/3 tbsp. maple syrup
- 1.5 tbsp fresh sage, finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 340 g thick strips of bacon
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 190°C. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with two layers of foil and cover with a sheet of parchment paper.
- Combine maple syrup, sage, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl. Dip the bacon in the syrup to coat, then arrange the slices on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake the bacon until it begins to brown, about 20 minutes. Flip the bacon and rotate the slices if they are unevenly browned. Continue baking until the bacon is crispy on all sides, another 10–15 minutes. Transfer to clean parchment paper to cool slightly, and serve.
