Ingredients:
- 1 cup of water
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 2.5 cm ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced
- Half a cinnamon stick
- 0.5 tsp allspice
- 170 ml frozen orange juice
- 4.5 teaspoons molasses
- 3 cups vanilla ice cream
- 0.5 cups of milk
Preparation:
- In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, ginger, cinnamon, and allspice. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar, then reduce the heat and simmer until the liquid thickens slightly. Remove from heat and strain into a bowl.
- Place the syrup in the refrigerator until it cools completely.
- Pour the syrup into a blender and add frozen orange juice, molasses, ice cream, and milk. Blend until smooth and serve.
