Ingredients:
- 1 cup of sugar
- 450 g frozen strawberries
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- Chilled sparkling rose wine, to serve
Preparation:
- Prepare simple sugar syrup:
Combine sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan and heat over low heat until the sugar dissolves. Pour into a container and let cool completely in the refrigerator, about 45 minutes.
- Place the strawberries and lemon juice in a blender along with the cold sugar syrup; blend until smooth. Strain through a fine sieve to remove the seeds. Pour into a pitcher and refrigerate until ready to use.
- To serve, pour about 2 tablespoons of strawberry puree into a champagne glass and top with chilled rosé wine.
