Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
- 1 boneless sirloin steak (2 cm thick, weighing 450 g), cut into thin strips
- 2 medium red bell peppers, cut into 2-inch strips (about 3 cups)
- 1 medium onion, sliced into half rings (about 1 cup)
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 packets of concentrated beef broth
- 1/4 cup water
Preparation:
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook, stirring frequently, until well browned. Remove the beef from the skillet. Drain off any excess fat.
- Heat the remaining oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the pepper and onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened. Add the garlic and oregano to the skillet and cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
- Return the beef to the pan. Add the stock and water and cook until the meat is tender.
