Ingredients:
Cocktail
- 220g simple sugar syrup, see recipe below
- 180 ml of gin
- 60 ml. dry vermouth
- 60 ml lemon juice
- 240 ml of champagne
- 4 twists of lemon zest
Simple sugar syrup
- 1 cup of sugar
Preparation:
- Combine syrup, gin, vermouth, and lemon juice in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into 4 champagne flutes. Top each glass with champagne and serve garnished with a lemon twist.
- Simple sugar syrup:
Yield: 1.5 cups
Combine sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool completely. Seal tightly and refrigerate. Can be stored for up to 1 month.
