Chocolate bar "Christmas tree"

topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups white Candy Melts
  • 1 cup green Candy Melts
  • 3 tablespoons multi-colored chocolate candies, such as M&M's, including at least 5 yellow ones
  • Golden sprinkles
  • 10 mini gingerbread men or gingerbread cookies
  • 5 mini yogurt-glazed pretzels
  • 2 tbsp coarsely chopped candied ginger
  • Multicolored sprinkles

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 120°C and line a baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper.
  2. Turn the prepared pan so the short side is facing you. Arrange the white candies in a 22 x 25 cm rectangle, leaving a 13 x 20 cm empty triangle in the center (this will be the tree). Fill the triangle with green meltable candies. Bake in the oven for 3-4 minutes, until the candies are glossy and begin to melt. Immediately spread the white candies with a small spatula. Using a clean spatula, spread the green candies, then make small downward strokes to resemble branches.
  3. Arrange colorful jelly beans on the tree to create a garland. Arrange 5 yellow chocolate candies at the top of the tree in a star shape, laying each one on its side. Decorate the remaining space on the tree with gold jelly beans.
  4. If using gingerbread cookies, break them into small pieces. Decorate the empty space around the tree with whole gingerbread men or gingerbread cookie pieces, yogurt-covered pretzels, candied ginger, and festive sprinkles, leaving some space between them. Let sit at room temperature until the bars are completely set, about 45 minutes.
  5. Before serving, break the bar into small pieces.
