Ingredients:
- 0.6 kg diced watermelon, honeydew melon, or cantaloupe
- 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of vodka
- 250 g sugar, about 1 and 1/4 cups
Preparation:
- Place the melon or watermelon in a food processor and blend until smooth. Add the lemon juice, vodka, and sugar and continue blending for another 30 seconds. Refrigerate the mixture until it reaches 4°C (39°F); depending on the temperature of your ingredients and your refrigerator, this could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Pour the cooled mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions. Transfer the sorbet to an airtight container and freeze for 3-4 hours before serving.
